First: is it dangerous?

• Smoke, fire or sparks: call 911 now. If it is safe, turn off the main breaker. Then call us.
• Burning smell from an outlet, switch or panel: stop using it, turn off the breaker for that circuit if it is safe, and call us.
• Water near the electrical panel: do not touch the panel or anything near it. Keep away, call the utility or 911, then call us.
• A downed power line outside: stay far away and call 911 and your utility. Lines outside the home belong to the utility.

No power?

• The whole house is out: check whether your neighbors are out too. If they are, it is a utility outage: LADWP, SCE, Burbank Water and Power or Glendale Water and Power, depending on where you live. If it is only your house, call us.
• Part of the house is out: check the panel for a tripped breaker and reset it once. If it trips again, do not keep resetting it. Call us.
• One outlet is dead: look for a tripped GFCI outlet with Test and Reset buttons nearby and press Reset.

During business hours the service call is $135 and is waived if we do the work. The electrician finds the cause and explains the fix and the price before any work starts.
