Will my panel handle the remodel?
A new kitchen, an addition or an ADU adds load: appliances, lighting, heating and cooling, sometimes an EV charger. Before the walls are closed, we add up what the home already uses and what the remodel adds, and tell you whether the current panel is enough or an upgrade is needed. It is easier and cheaper to plan this at the start than after the drywall is up.
Working with your contractor
On remodels we work alongside the general contractor: we review the plan, do the rough-in wiring while the walls are open, pass the rough inspection, and come back for the finish work once the walls are closed. Homeowners can also hire us directly for the electrical scope.
Permits and inspections
We pull the electrical permit and schedule the inspection: LADBS in the City of Los Angeles, or the city’s own building department in Burbank, Glendale, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu and Calabasas.
