Electrical work in Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills is its own city, not part of Los Angeles. Electrical permits are issued by the City of Beverly Hills Building & Safety through its CitySmart online portal, not by LADBS. Electricity is delivered by Southern California Edison (SCE), not LADWP. That matters for panel and service upgrades: the utility coordination, the meter requirements and the inspection process are different from the LA neighborhoods next door. We handle the permit, the inspection and the SCE coordination for you.
Beverly Hills homes range from 1920s–1950s houses with original wiring to large modern residences with heavy electrical loads. Common projects include panel and service upgrades, remodel wiring, lighting design, EV chargers for more than one car, and backup power.

Questions and Answers
Who issues electrical permits in Beverly Hills?
The City of Beverly Hills Building & Safety, not the City of Los Angeles. We pull the permit through the city’s CitySmart portal and schedule the inspection.
Who is the electric utility in Beverly Hills?
Southern California Edison (SCE). For service upgrades and new meters we coordinate with SCE.
Can you install EV chargers for two or more cars?
Yes. We check the panel’s capacity and plan the circuits, or use load management so several chargers can share the available power.
